In this session, goalies learn the “Hitch” dodge, a deceptive move used when catching a pass. The technique involves winding up as if to shoot, making the defender believe you’re taking the shot, and causing them to freeze. By jabbing the front leg and stepping back upfield, goalies can take advantage of the defender’s hesitation and quickly follow up with a real shot on goal. This move enhances the goalie’s ability to create opportunities by tricking the defense.
