Set Up
Put players in pairs through the field. 1 Player will be on offense with the ball, and the other will be a guided defender. The players will square up, and the offensive player with the ball will start to drift. The defender will either take a high or low shade, and the offensive player must read the space they are given, and attack. We use drifts to set up out defenders when trying to dodge or get to goal. It’s a great way to pull them out of position so you can take the space you want. We will build this into a shooting drill as well.
