Summary

An open set that helps with spacing and taking defense out of their comfort zone!

Set up

Put your players in a sideways 3-3. You can set the players motion depending on personnel, but we want to maintain proper spacing. The players on each side are working together on that front. Here are a few options out of it:

  • North-South Down Hill dodge – Adjacent wing teammate will mirror
    • If they go to the alley, pop to middle
    • If they take the middle, pop back to alley
    • This can also be a Pick Play
  • Wing Dodge
  • Low Wing Dodge

Coaching Points & Principles

  • Try to move players so only 2 players end up on ball side wing
  • Off ball players are moving either with drifts or cuts to space
