Cradling – 1 Handed: Mastering Control and Shielding
In this session, goalies focus on the one-handed cradle, a technique that requires using the body and head to shield the stick. The control hand should be positioned by the throat of the stick and near the ear for better control. Goalies are taught to use the free arm as a shield, protecting the stick from defenders. The key focus is on maintaining control while using the shield to block off any attempts to disrupt the cradle.
