A drill to work on spacing and reading defense
Set Up
Use cones to create concepts of where players should be, high wings and crease. The ball starts with our low left or righty wing dodger, and a coach is guarding the crease. As they dodge, the crease player will vacate backside and other will follow. If coach holds on the crease, player turns the corner for a shot. If defense slides, player passes to cross cage for a shot
Coaching Points & Principles
- Spacing – Need to maintain space for our dodgers
- Shooting – Inside Finishes, and On the run
