Set Up

Put a line of your attack/midfields about 3-5 yards down from the GLE, and put 1 players up on the island (5×5). The first player in line will carry upfield, and the player on the island will cut to the crease with their stick up ready for a pass. Once they get into the crease, they will curl back to the ball carrier to catch and finish inside

Coaching Points & Principles

  • Ball Carrier – Keep your feet moving up to the 5×5 as if you would one attacking a defensive player
  • Off Ball Movement & Spacing – When a teammate is carrying the ball to use, we want to create space and we can do that but cutting to the crease.
  • Off Ball Stickwork – When moving and cutting off ball, always keep your stick up and ready to receive a pass. There is usually a short window when your teammate can get you the ball when inside and open.
