A shooting drill that works on conceptual offense play and inside finishing
Set Up
Put 2 midfield lines on the wing and 1 line at x. Initiate with a down pick, and throwback.. As Thats happening, the player from X flashes to either side of cage to receive a pass and will finish inside with an added fake!
Coaching Points & Principles
- Passing – We must make good passes as we connect on the pick play and crease player
- Timing – X player should time the cut so they are arriving as the teammate is getting loaded
- Inside finishing – use fakes and deception coupled with a quick release

- Play or initiate in different areas of the field
- Younger players, don’t use picks, use shallow cuts with the same results
