Set Up
Get a prop net, and flip it upside down and place about 10 yards away from the main goal. Have players start a line on side side of the prop goal, and an add a cone about 5 yards away. Coach will roll the ball out and the player goes and scoops, and shoots around the goal. They will run around the second cone, and come back and take a 2nd shot. We reinforce overhand shooting to all our players, but its good to give the players another skill or shot angle to learn, so they can be a threat when shooting through traffic
Coaching Points and Principles
- Try to take a 3/4 angle shot with your hands, not sidearm
- Shoot with both strong hand and weak hand for each shot
- Change planes on your shot

- Challenge players to shoot far side – if they are shooting right hands, try to finish the ball inside left pipe.
