Skill Session: Bounce Shots

Bounce shots are a great finishing option when shooting from 10+ yards out, where the ball has enough distance to change levels after hitting the ground. Aim to bounce the ball around the top of the crease, giving it time to rise as it approaches the cage. A well-placed bounce shot forces the goalie to react down to the initial shot path before the ball changes levels and jumps back up, making it especially effective against goalies who drop their hands or body toward the ground. Focus on shooting with pace, picking a purposeful bounce point, and using the changing trajectory to make the save as difficult as possible.
