This is a simple drill, of players starting on the inside, and then popping out to space for support as the ball is coming towards them. the player at X should be moving East-West receive and make passes

Coaching Points and Principles

  • Catching + Passing – we want to catch and pass the ball quick, like we are transferring the ball to the backside
  • Spacing – Players learning to pop to space for easier passes around the goal

Progressions

  • Put a time limit & see how many times you can pass around the diamond
