Set up
Put your players in groups of 4-5 in lines. About 5 yards away, use 4 cones to make the shape of the top of a lower case (t). The player first in line starts with the ball and carries to the first cone with the second player in line shadowing behind. They will split and exchange hands and move to the cone on that side. The shadow player will approach the opposite wing cone. Once split dodger get to the cone, they will make a twizzler pass back to their next teammate in line (3rd player). The player in line will pass tot he shadow player upfield, and the original ball carrier goes and sets a pick at the top of the (t) cone. The ball carrier carries above the top cone and the picker slips underneath, and they connect onna quick lever pass. Ball then gets passed back to next teammate in line
Coaching Points & Principles
- Split Dodge – Working on our hand exchange
- Twizzler – An underhand shovel pass working on our hand/skill work
- Picks & Slips – Playing in tight spaces and connecting on those passes
