Set Up
Use a prop like a trash can, and put on the cream in front of the goal. Put the offense on the perimeter and defense guarding. have the offense move the ball around and the defense must adjust their positioning. Defenses 2 or more passes away should be touching the trashcan protecting the crease
Coaching Points & Principles
- Approaches – Defenders should approach the ball carrier with proper angles, taking away the middle of the field
- Stick work – Sticks up in passing lanes
- Slide & Recover – Defense should always protect the crease off ball
