A great drill to work on off ball play and picks with your offense and defense!
Set Up
Put a coach at X with the balls, and 3 offensive/defensive players above the crease. On the whistle, players will go live and the offense needs to move and set screens off ball to get open for a shot cutting to the goal!
Coaching Points and Principles
- Offense – Be deceptive when setting the screens, try to maneuver to make it hard for the defense to read the screen. CUT HARD, once you are free, make a hard cut to stay open so you can receive the pass
- Defense – Communicate, switch/stay on picks depending on how you want to play. Try to stay in between your player, and the coach at X with balls so it takes away the passing lanes
