Full Field Stack Clearing vs Pressure

Set Up

There are 10 lines on the field,  a goalie behind each cage, 1 line in each of the 4 low corners of the field, 1 line on both high crease area, and 4 lines across the mid line. You will add a defender in-between the mid lines on each side. The goalie will start with a pass to the low wing, who will then move to the pop player. As the pop player catching and turns upfield, the defender will go cover 1 of the 2 mid line line players. Who ever isn’t covered, needs to flash to the ball to get a pass from pop player. The player who was guarded, will backdoor the defender and break upfield to catch and move it down to the low line. The pop player will turn into the new defender and every other player goes to the line they pass to. Get 2 balls going at the same time in the same direction

Coaching Points & Principles

  • Cut to the ball! we want players to move to the ball, or backdoor cut.. never catch while standing still!
  • Move the ball quick, keep in the air, limit drops
  • Read the defense! make the right decision
