Set Up

Use 2 goals as props as put them at a high wing angle from your shooting goal, bout 8-10 yards away. Have coaches on both high wings with balls, and start the players in a single file line high middle with the balls. A player will initiate a down hill alley dodge and get a shot off. After their shot, they will turn back, and come around one of the high wing goals to receive a pass from coach, for another shot. They need to shoot OVER the goal, as we are working on strong overhand shots.

Coaching Points and Progressions

  • Alley dodges should be strong north-south dodges getting down hill
  • Curl shots, emphasize high hands so that we can shoot OVER the goal, challenge your layers to see if they can still finish the ball low!
